First of all let me say what an honour and privilege it is to be the Captain of Bawtry Golf Club for the 2008 Season. Our club exudes a strong spirit of friendship and support which I have always appreciated; my undertaking of the Captaincy is to offer something in return for all that I have experienced over the past 7 years.We all joined this club because of love of golf as a social sport and I am keen about playing a role in ensuring that all members enjoy to the full our superb Golf Course and all its facilities. I hope that along with my Lady Captain Alice Metcalf's help and support, we will serve the club in the manner to which it deserves, because in Bawtry we now have a Championship Course, a new 'Clubhouse' and Changing rooms to which we can ALL be extremely proud of.

If anyone would like to join Bawtry Golf Club please email us and we will send out an Application Form or come along and play one of the best courses in and around Doncaster and pick up an Application Form from the Pro shop after your game. We have a limited number of vacancies remaining.Membership total is currently +600.

Rabbits Section

Hello to fellow rabbit golfers!
The new season has started with away matches at Rawdon and Harrogate for the first round (2 teams) of the Fowler Trophy. This is followed by the first round of the Graham Wood trophy to be played at Dewsbury GC on Thursday 17 April. We then have two more competitions in May so watch the notice board and put your name down to play some of the best courses in Yorkshire and at the same time help to promote your club. Remember to get picked for any of these competitions you must put your name on the notice board sheets

The Rabbits have their own Captain and he organises their competitions. They belong to local Associations and arrange fixtures between different Clubs. They also have an annual knockout Competition. Information on the section can also be found in the locker room hallway.

Ladies Section

The ladies are responsible for their own competitions and have their own committee to run the section.

They play the majority of their competitions on a Sunday, 1st tee at 11.00 a.m., or a Wednesday 1st tee time at 10.00 a.m..They are members of the Yorkshire Ladies Golf Association. Many ladies do take part in County organised events.

The Senior Section is open to all members of the Club aged 55 and over. We play various competitions during the year and hold friendly matches against 12 local teams (and some not so local). There is no joining fee !!!!
